History

The RCC family of companies has a rich and long heritage. We are proud to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Railroad Construction Company. In 1926, Joseph Daloisio, Sr. grandfather to Al and Jim Daloisio, started performing railroad track repairs after leaving the Erie Lackawanna Railroad Company. The company grew and in 1927 Alfonso Daloisio, Sr. joined his father as a partner.

The untimely death of Joseph Daloisio, Sr. occurred in 1942, with Alfonso the oldest of seven children, continuing to run the business until 1946, when he took his brother Anthony as a partner. In 1978, Alfonso Daloisio, Sr. bought out the partnership from his brother and with his two sons, Alfonso Daloisio, Jr. and James J. Daloisio, incorporated Railroad Construction Company, Inc. in 1979.

In the early 1980's, Railroad Construction Company branched out into excavation, drainage and site work by adding coworkers with expertise in those areas.  In the 1990's RCC expanded operations into the areas of bridge and structures, intermodal facilities and building construction. RCC is blessed to have added many exceptional people over the years. Today, we have James J. Daloisio running Railroad Construction Company of South Jersey, specializing in trackwork and Alfonso Daloisio, Jr. orchestrates the Railroad Construction Family of Companies in cooperation with its Executive Committee and many dedicated coworkers.

Together we operate Railroad Construction Company, Inc. a company specializing in railroad work, site work, drainage work, bridge and highway work. RCC Builders, Inc., specializes in construction and rehabilitation of buildings. RCC Electric, Inc. specializes in electrical rehabilitation and construction activities. RCC Design, Inc. performs planning, design and survey work. RCC Materials & Equipment, performs track maintenance in the North Carolina area where our track related equipment manufacturing operation is based.

Today, the combined resources of our family of companies enables us to provide comprehensive design and planning, engineering, construction, equipment and building services from project inception to completion. RCC is a full service provider proudly committed to delivering projects of superb distinction time after time.
