RCC Fabricators, Inc. has secured a $265,000 contract to fabricate, assemble and deliver two truss assemblies and their support towers for the Cross Harbor Freight Project/Track Repairs at Greenville Yard. 

These trusses and support towers were designed by HDR Engineering, a firm contracted by the Port Authority of NY & NJ, to support the existing bridge and apron gantrys, which are used to operate the transfer bridge. The new steel trusses will allow the facility to remain in operation, which aids in the transfer of freight cars being moved via barge across the Hudson River.

The trusses are comprised of W14 wide flange beams to make up both the cords and strut members. Each 17'-0" high x 71'-0" long, 26,000 pound truss, will be fully assembled at our Vincentown, NJ location and shipped to the job site in order to facilitate field erection.
