Railroad Construction Co., Inc. was recently awarded a $3.6 million contract by Tishman Construction Corp. of New York for the removal and replacement of approximately 3600’ of track at the Hunts Point Produce Market, Building B.  Work will include the reconstruction of two parallel railroad tracks, miscellaneous concrete / asphalt work including pavement, sidewalks, curbs, and reinforced dolly pads for trailer parking, installation of precast concrete crossing panels, rubber panel grade crossings and drainage improvements consisting of new structures and approximately 500 LF of reinforced concrete pipe.  Work will be performed in 3 phases, with completion scheduled for October 2014.
